Rwanda Foreign Minister arrives in Seoul in an official visit

Minister Olivier Nduhungire was received by Cho Tae-yul, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea.

Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Olivier Nduhungire arrived in South Korea on an official visit for a few days, in the framework of promoting relations between Kigali and Seoul and open horizons of mutual cooperation.

Minister Olivier Nduhungire was received by Cho Tae-yul, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea. The two leaders discussed the ongoing partnerships and exploring new areas of cooperation between the two countries.

In Seoul, Minister Olivier Nduhungirehe met with the President of the Korea-Africa Foundation, Amb. Lyeo Woon-Ki; Mr. Pang Samuel, Director of the Institute of African Studies at Yonsei University; and the Vice-President of Yonsei University Mr. Kim Yongho during a working session on enhancing the Rwanda – Korea cooperation.

Minister Olivier Nduhungirehe  also met with members of the Rwandan Community living in the Republic of Korea to discuss programs and opportunities.  

Rwanda and the Republic of Korea have a longstanding history of warm bilateral and multilateral development cooperation. 

Key areas of collaboration between the two nations include education and capacity building, rural development, healthcare, energy, agriculture, and information and communications technology. (End)
