Rwanda Foreign Minister Nduhungirehe hailed the strong cooperation between Rwanda and China

On September 12, the Chinese Embassy in Rwanda held a reception to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. 

In his remarks, Ambassador Wang Xuekun reviewed the achievements of the People’s Republic of China since her founding and the fruitful results of China-Rwanda friendly cooperation. 

He emphasized that China is firmly committed to the development of China-Rwanda relations and is willing to work with Rwanda to advance Africa’s modernization and jointly build a community of shared future for mankind.

On behalf of the Government of Rwanda,  the Minister of Foreign Affairs Olivier Nduhungirehe hailed the strong cooperation between Rwanda and China, which was recently elevated to the “comprehensive strategic partnership” status.

“In recent years, Rwanda and China made great progress in growing bilateral relations further  characterized by increasing win partnerships and mutual understandings on political matters,” Minister Olivier Nduhungirehe said.

The reception was held in a friendly and warm atmosphere. Guests extended their congratulations on National Day, thanked China for her important contributions to Rwanda’s development, and look forward to jointly working with the Chinese sides in bringing the friendly cooperative relations between the two countries to a new level.
