Rwanda Foreign Minister received the outgoing UNECA regional Director

Minister of Foreign Affairs Olivier Nduhungirehe received Mama Keita, the outgoing United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) Director for the sub-regional office based in Kigali, for a farewell call as she ends her tour of duty.

Minister Olivier Nduhungirehe thanked Ms. Mama Keita for her successful tenure and wished her success in future endeavours.

Rwanda hosts the sub-regional UNECA office for Eastern Africa. The key focus of the Commission’s work in the sub-region and in Rwanda is to promote the regional integration and strengthen the capacity of its member States, Regional Economic Communities (RECs) and Intergovernmental Organisations (IGOs) in order to speed up the economic and social development in the sub-region.  (End)
