Yesterday evening, senior government officials from Togo, part of the presidential delegation on an official visit to Rwanda, held a working dinner with their Rwandan counterparts.
Discussions between the two delegations were focused on areas of cooperation and increasing bilateral ties between the two countries.
President Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé of the Republic of Togo arrived yesterday in Rwanda for his two-day official visit.
Rwanda and Togo share a strong and growing partnership, with cooperation spanning sectors such as infrastructure, healthcare, and diplomacy.
President Gnassingbé had last been in Rwanda in August 2024 for the inauguration of President Kagame, a ceremony that highlighted the strong bond between the two nations.
The two countries also align in several international forums, including the African Union and the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF). (End)
