On 01 Oct 24, Rwanda Security Forces (RSF) Commander Major General Emmy Ruvusha attended the 11th Operations Coordination meeting held at Pemba City, attended by Mozambique Armed Forces delegation, Tanzanian Bilateral Force delegation and Local Forces.
Major General Emmy Ruvusha assured the participants that RSF will continue intensifying offensive operations against terrorists in areas of responsibility in order to deny them freedom of action.
Rwanda deployed soldiers and policers to help Mozambique fight resurgent attacks by Islamic State insurgents in the oil-rich Cabo Delgado province.
Rwandan troops in collaboration with Mozambican Forces fought and dislodged the terror groups from several towns including their main bases in Mocimboa Da Praia and other localities. (End)
