Kigali: RwandAir has announced that it has temporary suspended its flights to and from Guangzhou, China, effective January 31 2020 until further notice. RwandAir currently operates three flights a week to the Chinese city.
This follows the declaration of Public Health Emergency of International Concern by the World Health Organization(WHO) in relation with the coronavirus outbreak.
“Affected passengers will be re-routed, refunded or allowed to change their tickets to a later date. Flights between Kigali and Mumbai remain operational,” reads part of the statement from RwandAir.
Several other airlines, including Air France, Air Canada, British Airways, and Lufthansa, have suspended all flights to China to prevent further spread of the virus. (End)
