
Rwandan Peacekeepers (RWABATT-1) serving under the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) joined CAR senior officials including Hon. Obed NAMSIO, State Minister and Cabinet Director of the Presidency, and Members of Parliament, today in community work (UMUGANDA) cleaning the neighbourhood of the presidential palace in Bangui, Central African Republic (CAR).
Obed NAMSIO, State Minister and Cabinet Director of the Presidency, expressed appreciation for the participants’ commitment to support the local community. He specifically praised the Rwandan peacekeepers for the positive initiative and their commitment in supporting the local communities in many ways.
The RWABATT-1 Contingent Commander, Lt Col Alphonse KIGENZA underscored the importance of the activity in promoting unity, collaboration, and community cleanliness. He encouraged local leaders and residents to maintain collective efforts toward sustainable community development. (End)
