Kigali: The Prime Minister, Ngirente Edouard, received in audience Ms. Meike Van Ginneken, the CEO of SNV (Netherlands Development Organization).
The purpose of the courtesy call was to provide to the Prime Minister, updates on current SNV activities in Rwanda and future partnership plans.
Ms. Meike Van Ginneken came to Rwanda to launch the SNV new Global Strategic Plan on June 20th, 2019. She highlighted that the choice of the launching venue was mainly guided by the high level of accountability, transparency and commitment observed in Rwanda’s Leadership which fosters and expedites delivery.
SNV Rwanda currently operates in 13 Districts in the Rwanda and they mainly focus on Agriculture, Horticulture, Water and Sanitation, Hygiene and Energy.
SNV pledges to reinforce its presence in Rwanda and to continue partnering with the Government of Rwanda towards a resilient community.
In his remarks, The Prime Minister appreciated SNV’s strategic interventions in key sectors of the country’s economy and for being an active development partner in community development. (End)
