Following his participation at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong of the Republic of Singapore begins his one-day Official Visit to Rwanda.
Prime Minister Loong will be received by President Kagame at Urugwiro Village for a closed-door meeting covering Rwanda and Singapore’s extensive partnerships and future opportunities of mutual interest.
The Heads of State will then hold a press conference to discuss areas of cooperation between the two countries, with Singapore being one of Rwanda’s fastest growing trade and investment partners. Areas of key cooperation include air services, education, ICT, infrastructure and more.
Prime Minister Loong has been in office since 2004 and this is his first official visit to Africa, and the first for a Singaporean PM to Sub-Saharan Africa. (End)
