Press statement by the Royal Office:
“His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, had a telephone conversation early Sunday morning with His brother His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein, Sovereign of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
The telephone conversation was an opportunity to reassure His Majesty the King of the situation on the basis of the data that the Jordanian Sovereign shared with HM the King.
On this occasion, the Sovereign reiterated His full and natural solidarity with the sisterly Jordan and His Majesty’s full support for all the decisions taken by HM King Abdullah II to consolidate security and stability.
This telephone conversation comes as a concrete expression of the strong historical and family ties uniting the two Sovereigns and the two Royal Families, and of the ties between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples.”
