Strengthening the Health Sector: MINSA and IRCAD AFRICA of Rwanda erect pillars

Angola’s Ministry of Health intends to increase capacity in health care in different specialties in partnership with IRCAD Africa of Rwanda (Kigali), said on Monday, 10 July, in Luanda, the Minister of Health, Silvia Lutucuta.

According to the minister, Angola has a very close relationship in the framework of cooperation with Rwanda and intends to expand in several areas.

“Research, teaching, learning, quality of services and financing are the areas of most interest as is reflected in the agreement between the two countries,” said the minister.

The head of the Health portfolio in Angola made it known that the sector still has a lot to do and defends challenges in investing in human capital.

Silvia Lutucuta, valued the IRCAD initiative and reiterated, among other things, the interest of the Ministry of Health to collaborate in various aspects.

For his part, the President of IRCAD Africa, King Kayondo, expressed the interest of cooperation in the field of Health with a focus on improving results, an opportunity for the African continent.

The IRCAD Africa delegation worked during his visit at the Dr Azancot de Menezes Maternal and Child Hospital and the Cardio-pulmonary Diseases Hospital Complex, Cardinal Dom Alexandre do Nascimento and was satisfied with what they found. (End) / Source: GTICI/MINSA
