Major Joseph Kaminzobe was killed and burned in Lueba in Fizi territory where he was assigned.
Bukavu: In his press conference upon returning from the last Summit in Addis Ababa, President Félix Tshisekedi held a conference in Kinshasa in which he displayed a behavior of appeasement towards the Tutsi Banyamulenge and Banyamasisi community.
He recognized that brave patriotic Banyamulenge soldiers even shed their blood for the cause of their homeland, the DRC. In addition, in this regard, no discrimination was permitted against these communities whose right to Congolese citizenship he recognized.
However, this promising speech hides animosity from the Congolese head of state and his regime, especially since at this very moment, Congolese Tutsi Banyamuylenge officers are detained in prisons or kept in custody.
It is even reported that they were transferred to camps with a sinister reputation in Lubumbashi and Kananga. When we remember that during the RCD movement, Congolese Banyamulenge soldiers were transferred for training to Kananga and that they were then executed, there is reason to be concerned about the current transfers of officers from the Tutsi Bamnyamulenge community and Banyamasisi.
These transfers reflect the demagogic behavior of a head of state who rejects discrimination, but who openly or discreetly engages in persecution and crimes with a large-scale ideology of hatred. Without a doubt, we are facing a planned genocide which hides neither its face nor its color.
In the training camps of Kananga, or elsewhere, it has been established that these soldiers are eliminated one by one.Because they were considered as infiltrators, and not as full-fledged Congolese.
The observation is that they were refused assignment positions to lead other soldiers; for fear that, they and their men would join the M23. Such a feeling of fear of the regime pushes innocent patriots to be sacrificed.
There are numerous cases of Tutsi officers lynched to death: Major Joseph Kaminzobe was killed and burned in Lueba in Fizi territory where he was assigned. It was December 9, 2021.
Last year, Captain Gisore Kabongo Rubatura was stoned to death in Goma in the presence of other soldiers. This suggests that it was a planned crime.
Moreover, armed groups and security forces engage in excessive abuses, kidnappings, rapes, sexual violence, child recruitment and other attacks against Tutsi and other targeted communities.
However, the bottom line remains an ideology of planned genocide which does not hide its name. A genocide orchestrated by politicians of the existing regime.
This is evidenced by the case of this senior Tutsi officer, Lt Colonel Eric Serugo, who was attacked at his home by the military prosecutor’s office and taken to a military camp in Goma.
Such harsh treatment against an officer of Tutsi origin is part of a series of other abuses which demand the right and respect for life and dignity for the constantly persecuted Rwandophone Congolese. (End)
