The final decision on Ferwafa competitions will be taken not later than 30th May

Kigali: The Executive Committee of Fédération Rwandaise de Football Association (Ferwafa) held its ordinary session which was aimed at discussing various issues related to the current Covid-19 Crisis which has affected football activities in the country.

In view of restarting Ferwafa competitions, the Executive Committee discussed and explored various possible alternatives for all competitions to resume as scheduled.

Therefore, following decisions were taken in respect to 2019/2020 Rwanda Premier league, FERWAFA Peace Cup 2020 as well as other scheduled club competitions.

The final decision on measures to be taken in relation to resuming or cancelling the season will be taken not later than 30th of May 2020 depending on directives from the Government of Rwanda expected later this month.

In the meantime, FERWAFA will remain in consultations with its members and key stakeholders in view of finding ways to conclude the 2019-20 season in the most appropriate way.

FERWAFA says that its priority during this period is to ensure health and safety of our members’ players and staff as well as officials, volunteers and supporters during this unprecedented time. .  (Fin)
