Bolivia has decided to withdraw its recognition of the so-called “SADR”, and sever all ties with this entity”, according to a communique released by the Bolivia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday.
Bolivia also affirmed that it will adopt the principle of “constructive neutrality” with regard to the artificial conflict around the Moroccan Sahara and to support the efforts of the United Nations and the international community so that the parties can reach a just, durable and mutually acceptable political solution in accordance with the principles and purposes of the Charter of the United Nations”.
“Bolivia is determined to build a renewed relationship with the Kingdom of Morocco, based on mutual respect for national sovereignty and territorial integrity and non-interference in the internal affairs of the two countries,” said the statement.
The adoption by Bolivia of such a position is the fruit of intense and fruitful exchanges between the Foreign Ministers of the two countries, since the advent of the new government in Bolivia in November 2019. This decision also confirms the good phase and fruitful dynamics which now distinguish relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and all the countries of the South American Continent. (End)
