The upcoming Women Deliver 2023 conference (WD2023) is taking place in Kigali, Rwanda, scheduled for the first time on African soil, from 17-20 July 2023.
With the theme of “Spaces, Solidarity, and Solutions”, WD2023 will enable inclusive, co-created spaces that foster solidarity for sustainable solutions on gender equality for advocates and decision makers – offering a lens through which we can better understand one another and strive towards a more just future for all.
As participants ready to convene in Kigali to network, develop skills, share knowledge, access funding opportunities, and participate in conversations that contribute to global agenda setting on gender equality, there is an intensified collective commitment to propel the efforts towards advancing gender equity and SRHR (Sexual and reproductive health and rights).
Women Deliver brings people together to demand the full suite of SRHR for all girls and women, everywhere. Women Deliver creates the space for collective action and advocacy on gender equality and connect global feminist advocates to those in power to drive change. Women Deliver conferences catalyze conversations with stakeholders from around the world, break barriers, address challenges, and identify opportunities to advance gender equality and SRHR, and improve the wellbeing of girls and women.
The Women Deliver Conference is one of the most impactful multisectoral convenings to advance gender equality. As WD counts down to the Women Deliver 2023 Conference in July next year (WD2023), Women Deliver will be focused on creating awareness of the imperative for action on gender equality and providing the opportunity for all actors to act.
The WD team realizes the role media can play in achieving this vision and push the gender equality agenda forward in Rwanda and globally. The team will be available in Kigali on 29th November – 01st December to meet with media and further unpack missions and programmes currently at play ahead of the Conference – an opportunity to also discuss what attendees to WD2023 can expect.
