Zambian President H.E Edgar Lungu expressed his gratitude to His Majesty Mohammed VI, King of Morocco, for the Moroccan aid sent to the southern African country to support its efforts to fight the coronavirus, reported the Zambian public TV channel (ZNBC).
Morocco and Zambia share excellent relations, the Zambian President stressed in a message to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, noting that the excellence of these relations was illustrated during the Sovereign’s visit to Zambia in 2017.
During the visit, the two countries had fruitful discussions, culminating in the signing of 19 agreements covering a wide range of areas with the aim of further strengthening bilateral socio-economic cooperation, HE Lungu added, quoted by ZNBC.
The Zambian head of State also noted that the Moroccan aid to his country is further proof of “the generosity of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to support the socio-economic agenda of Zambia”.
The Moroccan aid will be of great help in supporting Zambia’s efforts in the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic, President Lungu said. (MAP). (End)
