Chinese Chargé d’affaires attends closing ceremony of training courses for empowering women and youth

Chargé d’affaires ad interim(a.i) Ms. Lin Hang attended the closing ceremony of training courses for empowering women and youth at Agaseke Center of Kigali Cultural Village, and awarded graduation certificates to trainees. More than 60 people attended the ceremony.

Ms. Lin congratulated the successful holding of this training, and encouraged the trainees to continue to improve their skills, and contribute to Rwanda’s economic and social development. China is willing to empower Rwandan women and youth under the Belt and Road Initiative and framework of Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), to improve their livelihood and inject new impetus into the China-Rwanda comprehensive strategic partnership.

The trainees thanked the embassy for its support, praising the training for its help in improving working skills and increasing income. They will focus on their duties and contribute to national development and Rwanda-China friendship.

The Agaseke Center was initiated by the City of Kigali to promote the traditional culture of Rwanda and improve the living conditions of vulnerable groups. The embassy supported the center to hold training courses in business development this year, with a total of 50 trainees participating.  (End)
