AUC Chairperson meets Burundi’s Foreign Minister to discuss regional stability and economic resilience 

The Chairperson of the African Union Commission,  Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, received Albert Shingiro, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Burundi, in an audience.

The two leaders highlighted the importance of addressing the challenges of the AU’s financial sovereignty, infrastructure, and continental connectivity.

The Minister provided an overview of Burundi’s overall situation, both domestically and regionally.

The two leaders welcomed the joint initiative of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) and the East African Community (EAC) to appoint a group of mediators to DRC and Rwanda. (End)
