Two lady entrepreneurs from Zimbabwe, Silingen Sibanda and Ann Kamba, are exhibiting in Kigali, on the sidelines of the AfCFTA Business Forum or Biashara Africa 2024, products that were made in their country and that they want to sell on the continent.

Sibanda exhibits leather products made of shoes, bags for women and belts.

“It is a quality leather and has excellent resistance. These products are sold in Zimbabwe where they are much appreciated. I am registered in my country and I am ready to export them to other African countries within the framework of AfCFTA,” says Mrs. Sibanda.

She informs that these leather products like shoes are sold to students in her country.

“I have created employment for 23 people who are the workforce of the company which is also making a profit,” continues Sibanda, who appreciates the hospitality she receives in Rwanda.

“We are with family in Rwanda, just to share knowledge,” she continues.

Mrs. Kamba from Zimbabwe is displaying kitchen equipment and iron bars for the construction of various premises. The equipment she is displaying is used to build bakeries, butcheries, kitchen equipment, cold rooms, houses and sheds of various sizes.

“The utensils and spoons cannot break like ceramics. We are creating connections to sell them in Africa,” she says.

Products from Nigeria are also present in the Expo. They are made of natural products extracted from various plants to develop hair and body products.
