DAY FOURTEEN: No rest for poll contenders as RPF restarts campaign

RPF will be in Gicumbi district – formerly Byumba prefecture for a single rally to be held Monday. Gicumbi is known for its very cold weather all year round and tea production, in addition to being the major link-up point between Uganda and Rwanda.

Meanwhile, the other three contenders did not stop the campaign trail all through the weekend.

PPC was in Kigali covering Kicukiro and Nyarugenge districts on Saturday – where she got some larger crowds than it has been since the campaigns started July 20. On Sunday, PPC candidate Dr. Alvera Mukabaramba was in Huye – in the south.

For Monday, PPC heads to Kirehe – to the east.

PL was also in Kigali on Saturday and moved back to the Southern Province on Sunday – covering Gisagara and Nyaruguru districts. Both are rural areas.

Today, PL’s Prosper Higiro will be in Nyamasheke and Rusizi – to the West.

As for PSD, a major contender for the presidency was in Gicumbi and Rulindo districts (both in the north) for Saturday, and was in Ngoma – to the east on Sunday

On Monday, PSD takes its candidate Dr. Jean Damascene Ntawukuriryayo to Kirehe district, also in the east – bordering Tanzania. It is the same place PPC will be camping as well.
