MINEDUC announces 2023/2024 Advanced Level National Examinations Results 15th November 2024

The Ministry of Education(MINEDUC), through the National Examination and School Inspection Authority (NESA), announces the release of the 2023/2024 National Examinations results for Advanced Level students in General Education, Professional Education, and Technical Secondary Schools. 

This follows the successful administration of the national examinations held from July 23rd to August 2nd, 2024, across the country.

Key Highlights of the 2023/2024 Advanced Level National Examinations:

 • Total registered candidates: 91,713

 • Candidates who sat for the examinations: 91,298 (representing 99.5% of registered candidates)

 • Candidates who passed the national examinations: 71,746

 • Overall pass rate: 78.6%

 What Changed?

 . Grade transparency: New grade ranges and the display of raw marks are now available. Students and parents can see the raw marks for each subject.

 . Support for unsuccessful candidates:

 o Candidates who wish to repeat Senior 6 (S6) can do so.

 o Candidates can register as private candidates for the next examination cycle.

 . Clear Appeal Process: Transparent guidelines have been established for candidates to contest their results through a clear and structured appeals process.

 How to Access the Results:

• Online Access: Visit https://sdms.gov.rw/sas-ui/public/nationalExaminationResult.zul and follow the provided instructions.

 • SMS Access for General Education Results: Send an SMS with the candidate’s full index number followed by the candidate’s ID card number to 8888.

The top 18 performers, one from each learning area/sector, will be awarded a laptop. Additionally, the University of Rwanda and Rwanda Polytechnic have provided 50 non-refundable academic scholarships. (End)
