Members of Parliament of the Chamber of Deputies are set to conduct a countrywide field visit, zeroing in on the well-being of the citizens and visiting various community development projects. This activity is slated for 26 January to 03 February 2025 in all four provinces and 8-9 February 2025 in the City of Kigali.
The Rt. Hon. Kazarwa Gertrude, the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, said, “We are committed to engaging our citizens to create a meaningful change in their social well-being, this visit allows us to assess how effectively government programs are being implemented to benefit the concerned communities and identify areas for improvement”.
The tour will create an opportunity for the MPs to engage communities and local leaders on a whole lot of topics, including unity and resilience of the Rwandan people with a focus on the fight against genocide ideology, social protection programs, and access to finance, savings groups, family conflicts-related issues and existing approaches to resolving them.
Members of Parliament will also inquire into the actions taken to address citizens’ concerns raised during the previous outreach activities. (End)
